So up until these babies I'd only ever tried silicone, which was fine, but oh lordy, they got nothing compared to glass. Really good starter kit, good sizing and good quality. If you've only tried silicone and aren't too sure, try these before you rule out plugs. Definitely a game changer.

These are absolutely amazing if you are into anal play and the texture, temperature and weight!!! I can't recommend highly enough. (Add lube, and perhaps a lube shooter as well to your basket)
